Dicky I hold a BA (FA) degree and a Special Needs teaching Diploma from TUKS (University of Pretoria). I have been teaching art for adults and children at my home studio for nineteen years, practising Art Therapy at Unica School for learners with Autism for ten years and running the Woodhill Art Club for two years.
Dicky's Studio In South Africa "Art Therapy" is considered a crossover between the fields of Art, Education and Occupational Therapy. * Art Classes for children through to matric level and * Art classes for Adults. In the UK, Art Therapy is a regulated profession and therapists are registered with the Health Professions Council. Moves are afoot for a similar regulatory body in South Africa.
